Another beautiful find from Wyoming, this palm frond displays a stark contrast to the light-coloured limestone matrix. Also in the matrix are two Priscacara liops specimens. Palm fronds such as these must have fallen from trees right at the water’s edge. They give us glimpse into the prehistoric landscape where palm groves dotted the shores of the lake 50 million years ago.
